Icon3 91 crx Si no spark

So here's the deal. I have a 1991 honda crx Si with a b20b motor swap with a gsr tranny. I am using a obd0 to obd1 ecu jumper harness and i have converted the dizzy to obd1 since its a b20 which is obd2. anyways i am getting fuel which means my main relay is fine but i am getting EXTREMELY little to no spark. idk what the problem is. i think i need a new ignitor because of this problem. but idk.

PLEASE HELP

any help would be great

I would go straight to the Harness grounds. Then I would jump on the Dizzy wiring. If those check out I would try a different coil. Then the Ignitor chip or even easier try a known good Dizzy. Firing order etc.

Did you check any of the stuff that 'beansandrice' suggested? I would say he's on the right track...

OK SO LET START WITH THIS; WAS THE MOTOR ALREADY RUNNING? HOW DID THE PROBLEM START? CHECK TO MAKE SURE ALL GROUNDS ARE CLEAN AND SECURE, ESPECIALLY T-STAT HOUSING.

Stop bumping the thread without trying what's already been suggested. Your problem may have been solved already.

Try switching the 2 white wires on the chassis side plug. When I converted to obd-1 I had the same problem you are describing switched the wires car ran great

how did you make the distributor work? jumper harness? repin the plugs? if you did this the white and cream colored wires are most likely in the wrong spots

How do you know your not getting spark? is the motor just not starting or did you pull the wires and look for spark? Could be bad wires/plugs!! also try useing a friends known to work dizzy and see if it works in your car. If its still not working go further into wiring and grounds. Are you using a conversion harness or did you do the re-pin? Double check all wiring for the dizzy and resistorbox(if using obd1 injectors it need to be converted to send 12v). Add 4ga grounds in place of stock front ground, connect from cylinder head to chassis to engine block.

i had the dizzy repined and my grounds are good. i know i dont have spark because i took a plug out and a spark plug and put it to the chasis and there was not any spark at all.

i think it might be in the ignition module or my knock sensor. going to try and check these things. will keep you guys posted.

The knock sensor won't cause it to not fire. Ignition Module can cause it to not start but motor usually wont crank over if the module is bad.

I would put all wiring back to stock and contact rywire and get a new obd1 dizzy and a conversion harness that will plug right in and match correctly, no repinning required! Make sure your ECU is obd1 as well as your injectors. If you decide to run obd0 injectors you will need the stock resistor box. Also run down to your local autoparts store and pick up some new plugs and wires (NGK part #'s: ZFR5F-11 and HE82). About a hour of labor and youll be up and running, no issues.

Either you've mixed the firing order up on the Ignition wires from the Distributor to the spark plugs (assuming you have it wired right), Or your distributor is DEAD, get another obd1 distributor off of a running car and try with that, if that doesn't work, Your firing order or wiring is wrong.

Beans hit it right in the head where you should have started, {POST WHEN YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING.
