Default 98 ek high idle

hey, i just reacently bought this hatchback and im trying to fix all the small things on it, but any ways the guy says its a d16y7 with a y8 head. and i dont know if doing that head swap would cause some vaccuum lines to be deleted of something, idk. but it idles at 2,000rpm, so if you can help me it would be much appreciated

yea the idle adjust screw is all the way in. if i screw it out the idle goes up.
ok i guess the next thing to do is cover the tb with my hand. thanks, would anyone happen to know if there are extra or less vacuum line that dont exist on the y7? im not too knowledgeable about this head swap.

the Y7 should have the same ports just in different spots but more importantly which manifold did you run?

the Y7 comes with a 3 wire IACV if i am not mistaken? the Y8 with a manual trans will have a two wire.

what intake manifold are you using, cause i believe the Y7 intake is different than the Y8, in fact i am positive it is.

a small vacuum line for the FPR, large hose to the brake booster out of the back of the manifold. 5/16 hose for the PCV valve and selinoid valve for the EVAP system that is mounted on the fuel rail. and also a 5-16 hose going from the top center of the manifold to the fast idle valve that is ontop of the thermostat housing.

i believe that is it for the Y8 manifold i don't know the Y7 manifold

Do you have an IACV or any other CEL codes? Is the connector for IACV at the bottom of the throttle body plugged in?

As already suggested, I think you have an intake air or vacuum leak. Can you kill the idling engine by covering the top of the throttle body with your hand?
