H22 in EG/ H2B/ Axle allignment
Ok.
I did an H22A swap into my EJ1 (1993 coupe).
Its the Si for Canada(Ex in states I believe)
The swap went decent. Drove the car. Pulls hard etc.
I have a MAJOR problem. I was scared when swapping, I noticed the DRIVERS side axle(LEFT SIDE..in case someone asks" IS IT RHD BRO?")... anyways the axle is on a wicked angle. From the CV joint to my wheel it has a mad angle. Driving straight I notice nothing, but even the slightest right turn, I head "Thud thud thud" my axle is clonking.
This is 100% stock H22A and H22A tranny. ILL GET PICS OF THE AXLE ALLIGNMENT IF ANYBODY WANTS TO SEE.
I was thinking about doing a H2B kit. Getting the proper kit so I can bolt a B-series trans onto my H22A. so... GSR, B16 or maybe an LS trans...
WOULD THIS FIX THE PROBLEM?
I am scared to buy a B-series tranny and H2B kit and realize it didn't do SHHHHHeeeet all.
Also, i'd need to run what axles? I have custom shop axles for my h22 trans....I KNOW THE AXLES WORK. CAME OUT OF A 92 EG HATCH and they worked fine in it, cause I drove it.
Please help here, I'm beginning to panic I haven't had a vehicle for over a month now and it SUCKS!

what intermediate shaft are you using? how low is your car? what mounts and axles are you using?
i have a h22 swapped into my 94 civic ex and dont have any problems with it, i have hasport mounts and axles. Theres a lil bit of shudder to it when slowly accelerating but nothing horrible.
with H swaps your car cant be lowered to much, having a camber kit for the front can help the angles also.
if that is ur car in ur avatar i can tell you now its entirely to low.
if you get a h2b kit it will use b-series mounts and b-series axles and it will fix the axle angles

except the engine angle chenges and the h2b kit is hard to shift at high rpms and eats clutchs my friend had many problems with his h2b kit do alot of reasearch before thinking about it
