Default HELP Engine IDLE problem acting up sometimes

First of all a mechanic did my timing belt a year ago.
then yesterday i found out that the main engine cam/crank timing is way off retard.

I corrected the problem by lining up took off the belts etc. and put it back.
then car ran fine and more power than b4.

I had an aftermarket intake before,
but put back the OEM Because i geuss it may be causing the IDLE problem but no

But still currently with OEM intake,
the engine idle seems to be surging up and down only sometimes in Neutral, or slow first gear driving.

What could be causing the idle to act up b4 it was fine,
but since the mechanic who did timing a year ago made the belt way off, now i notice

My water pump, tensioner bering squeeling due to excessive tightness of the belt from before, now i have to change all the waterpump, tensioner, and etc again. because he did my timing way off.. b4 ill go bad.

also i just added a sub, idk also it had a spark from the pos batt. to the fuel filter banjo bolt. did i short anything?????checked fuse box is good.

What can be causing the idle to act up.
I checked vacuum hoses no leaks,

Timing also is current at the red line is is it that???

Please help idont know whats causing the idle to act up sometimes???

Air bubbles in your coolant system will do this, likely from when you swapped intake manifolds. Open up the bleeder port at the thermostat and make sure there aren't any bubbles in the coolant.

Im guessing the timing should be at 16degrees BTDC@650-750?
what line should i use, a mechanic told me the red one, but theirs four lines i think and a white line pointer.

what do i use to line up the timing light??

and i think mines have IAC, how do i know if its defective?

There's 3 lines next to one another and 1 line 16 degrees from the middle one. With the light reading 0 the pointer should line up with the middle of the 3.

the V mark in the cover should line up with the White line on the crank pulley. You can check the IACV by apllying a 12v source directly to it and it will click. if it clicks it should function completly normally. they can get cloaked up sometimes if you remove it via the two 12mm bolts you should be able to tale pretty quickly if it is cloged up. also make FOR CERTAIN you have no vacuum leaks, dry rotted hose, PCV valve came loose, intake mani gasket, TB gasket. gaskets you can check by spraying carb cleaner around them why the car is running if their is a leak it will start to stumble and idle rough, and that is your leak.

also i am sure you know this but you can't get the timing right until the idle is set and runs correctly. also another way to tale if your idle problem is a vacuum leak is to test with a vacuum pump, if you have a regular Helms manual it will demonstrate how to use this item correctly.
