I bought another 94 ex coupe...1000 bucks. Great deal, JDM D15b swap, only one minor ding. Pretty good overall shape. I've been driving it for a few months, and I had never tried to use the heater until this morning. So I get in the car, turn on the heater...Ok, so no heat.

I pop the hood and see that the heater core line is bypassed. Ok, no biggie to fix that even something is wrong with the heater core...


The problem is, the blower motor only works when the radiator fan is on, and the radiator fan only comes on when the engine is BELOW operating temperature. Once it gets warm, no fan and no blower.

So I'm going to tear into it when it gets cold enough around here.

Who has a guess on what the problem is?

 

you need to title your thread specific to get an answer.

 

i'd check the harness to where the power wire from the blower is connected to...looks like the fan switch

I never said I wasn't asking a question. If you read my post, you would see that I clearly put a question mark at the end of the last sentence, but that post was asking for guesses. To be honest, I think you are an undereducated f@gsickle that needs a higher post count in order to feel empowered.



I can only assume you are a total noob and know absolutely nothing about my car judging by your lack of insightful input. I know that the problem is in the dash and has nothing to do with the coolant temp switch. It's more than likely a bad wire directly behind the fuse box on #13, as everything under there is in complete disarray. I can definately tell that the dash has been out. I think the operating temp thing just happens to be coincidence.

I think what we have here is a classic case of flame reversal. The OF (original flamer) threw the incorrect title post out, and grumble thought he could catch the OF's coat-tails and hop on the flaming bandwagon. That's when your flame was intercepted by stuntin4life, and returned for a touchdown.
