Hi All,

I searched for this and I found a LOT on the same issue, but I've followed all the given advice in those threads and i still have this issue. So here it is.

My eg coupe with a B16A swap into it, idles at 3500 rpm when its cold and 1900 rpm when its warm. First thing I check for is vacuum leaks but I find nothing. I pressed my hand against the throttle body and the rpm drops by about 300 down to 1600 rpm and that's it. I cleaned the IVAC and then replaced it, I replaced the TP sensor because my buddy broke it when he took it out. I replaced the hoses and made sure they were clamped properly. I ran the pcv and it did nothing. I don't know what to do next, I think I might go out and buy a Skunk2 IM and TB...

ALSO! I have two 2002 RSX type S seats, you guys think they would go well with my eg coupe? I'll need to get black seat covers to go with my black interior but other then that they're awesome! Any feed back on putting something like that in?

 

Your hand-covering-TB test indicates that you have a major intake air or vacuum leak.

 

so the car should shut off if u cover the tb then right?

 

If i were you, i'd sell off the older rsx seats. The 02-04 models are not as good, they have cheap seat covers on them, wear badly, and are uncomfortable on any kind of longer trip.

The 05-06 seats are wayyy better in every aspect, i upgraded myself to the newer style

 

Thats what I thought. My car JUST started throwing a CEL when I was driving, Code 14 Idle air control valve or bad ECM...

Those are the seats that I have, in that picture. I pulled them from a 2002 rsx...

 

Dude, the 2002 does not have those seats unless they were swapped, they didn't exist then. These are the crappy seats found in the 02-04 models

 

Ah, the seats in both those pictures look fairly similar...I'm sure mine are the cheaper ones.
