I believe the dizzy is compatible with OBD1 as most OBD2 sensors are.

So what are you saying? I don't need to purchase
anything-I can run it with all the stock obd2 stuff on the head through
my obd1 harness? I'm not that lucky.....really?

the heads are EXACTLY the same, no difference at all!

Your obd designation come from your distributor

Yeah, find yourself a obdI vtec b series dizzy and your good .....or, you could repin the obdII dizzy for the plug, because the inside of it is also exactly the same, as well as the mounting points

Well, just so you know -
You can use any injectors. They are not OBD specific. You just have to make sure they have the same flow rate for what your ECU is programmed for AND you have to use a resistor box for low impedance injectors and no box for high impedance injectors.

Also, the only reason you can't mix your distributor with OBD0 and any other OBD is because the reluctor ring inside has a different tooth count and will sent the wrong number of pulses to the ECU.
OBD1 and OBD2 have the same tooth count, but the connector is wired differently.

Finding any distributor is NOT hard, they can be had used by looking around on forums, or, just get one off of ebay. That Being said, you can use any obdI or II dizzy as already mentioned, they have the same wires coming out of them, it's just that one has one plug, the other has two plugs...sames wires, same colors!

As far as injectors go.....NO!! You do not have to change injectors, this is optional and a big miss conception so many people make!

your choices are:

- use any b series obd0 injector ie...90-91 it will plug right into you existing harness, you do NO wiring (d series is 225cc and B series is 240cc if i remember right?)

- use any OBDI or OBDII injector (they have different style plugs from each other, and require you to swap the plugs onto your existing harness), plus you have to modify the wiring to get rid of the injector harness as the impedance is different

aw come on LunaLink i showed you where to go to get one.

if you want an obd1 b16 distributor head over to kragen or o'reilly auto parts stores and ask for the following part numbers...
1. Rebuilt w/lifetime warranty # 31-17407
2. Brand new w/lifetime warranty # TD44U

so no more "where can i get the hard to find distributor." same numbers might work for autozone.

I would also get a obd 1 IM with the IAT bolted to the IM so you dont have to run it on ur intake.. And plug the top vacuum port.. Theres a ghetto way to about the dizzy if you can get a hold of even a Ls obd1 dizzy you just have to cut one of the ears off.
