batterty reloction problems
ok so i did my batt relcate today along with my passager side wire tuck... after iwas done everything was good started ran fine no problems about an hour later wouldnt start. my relocation was done with 2 gauge indust.. wire from starter to + termanal and a 8 gauge amp wire to the fuse box and stock ground was used. also relocted to the trunk. any ideas ???
Do your accessories in the car turn on?
I had a problem where I would lose ground completely.
Ended up trying a few different grounding points in the trunk until I found a good one. Old car... spot welds... not the greatest.
Spare tire bolt didn't work, bolt for rear seat didn't work - ended up using a bolt on the tail light.
I eventually a 4 gauge ground forward in the can and tapped into it a couple couple places (chassis under the dash, chassis under the hood, and and terminated on the tranny ground).
I ran three 4 gauge wires off my battery.
One went to the stereo amps in the trunk, two ran forward to a fused distribution block under the passenger seat (that split out to supply alarm, fuse box, etc), and one ran up to the starter.
Never had power issues after that. Headlights never dimmed... nothing.

where did you ground it at? you say the trunk... but to what? or to where in the trunk is it grounded? wherever it is grounded make sure it is tight... and all the paint at the point of contact is gone. if it just looks ok.... get a wire brush and do it again.. and be sure its tight.
