So I'm back with more knowledge and info, maybe someone will be able help me out this time. After recently swapping my b16a2 into my 93 ex coupe I turned the key and the vehicle would not start. The problem seems to be electrical, i tested this by sticking a screwdriver down the hole while my friend attempted to start the car(was this right?) my compression turns out to be 180 psi across the board witch is an increase from when I adjusted the dizzy and valves(ex .008 and int .006 mm) my timing is dead on, fuel pump is priming, and I have all nessesary grounds connected. However, it does look like theres some fuel seeping out from where the fuel gauge is... what are the different ways someone could possibly flood their motor?

I know it's only a .001" difference, but the EX side is supposed to be .007"

Also, check your coil and ignitor.

 

i doubt that a .001 difference would prevent it from starting
but completely forgot about the igniter and coil!
I'm def gunna check em out tomorrow,
do u think a missing/mixed up plug could also be the issue, or even a flooded engine???

So the problem is the lack of spark at the plugs? Try the simple spark test described here.

Any CEL codes? Does the dizzy get power on the Blk/Yel wire?

 

make sure your sparkplug wire are right on the distributor...

 

how would i check if the blk/yel wire are getting power???

 

spark, air, fuel, compression. 1 of these 4 are not working. tell us which one and we can tsolve the problem.

check for spark at end if ignition wire.
does it try to start with the throttle opened
does it try to start with some ether shot in the intake
compression and leakdown test

do those and check back

 

im going to check everything out today if it doesnt rain on me again.
