Earlier this year around jan/feb there was a NOLA HT meet.. kinda nasty that day, but i remember it originally was gonna be held 1-2 months prior to that. Does anyone know if there are plans for a HT meet this winter or not in the MS/LA area?

 

Hey, Iam not sure if another HONDA-TECH meet will be in the works anytime soon. Me & a group of friends organized the one this past Jan but since then, everyone has moved on in life & upgraded vehicles. To make it worse, there are'nt anymore quality built hondas anymore, atleast here locally. Every once in awhile, I see a well put together honda but the majority are wack.

You're better off in starting a H-T meet in your hometown. I would hate for you to show up all the way from MS to a VERY weak turn out with sub par cars. The only thing you should be looking forward to is our annual LAKEFRONT meet that is held every year around APRIL.

 

well i may see about doing that, i live in a decently sized college town 50k+ pop. and were centrally located 1 hours from new orleans, jackson, meridian, mobile, gulfport, and biloxi, so i'm in a good location to do one, but i didn't wanna impose on anyone else already starting one.. i guess i will be thinking about it soon.

 

but what serves another issue is that probably only 10% off the people at it will be actually h-t members, because to face the facts, there aren't that many active members from h-t in my area.. i'm one of the few.

 

Do you have local forums for your area ? I promoted through Honda-tech but also NOSR.org, which is the local forums for member in NEW ORLEANS & southeast area. We've even had ppl from MS & AL show up last time. Maybe you should sign up on NOSR.org & post up. Iam sure you'll get a response dude.

 

hmm.. yea we brought a group of about 8-12 cars from ms last time, we do have local forums, i'm gonna be thinking about what its gonna take and a good place to do it, we have a good place that we held a car show at last time, its near the interstate and atleast 80-100 cars can gather there, and its a Park like setting like the one in neworleans at Lafrienrie - prob spelled it wrong. yea redlined.org is our local coastal forum for south ms.

 

Well I suggest you make account with NOSR.org also. It can only help you in putting together a decent meet. When throwing a meet, make sure its a month in advance so people can schedule accordingly. LMK if I can help you out with any ideas or anything.

 

sounds good, but unless that NOSR site is up and running, i can't get into it, i remember trying to get onto that site a few times earlier this year and it always said the site was shut down or under construction. I see your location says TX, but are you in New orleans now, or vice versa?

 

The NOSR.org website has been back up & running for sometime now. I did live in TX for awhile during Katrina but I am now back in the NOLA haha have'nt changed it since.

 

i wish our local honda dealership had enough parking, i would see if they would let me have one there.
