Default Main Relay Question

Hey guys, well a few months ago my car started to just randomly not start. The only way it would start is if i left the key in the start position but not actually crank it up. A few min would pass and the fuel pump would kick on and then i could crank it up. My buddy thought sautered my main relay which never really fixed it. Now i have to wait like 10 min for my car to start, i was curious if you guys think that i just need to replace the main relay? or is it a fuel pump issue? thanks for the help.

this is really weird.. lol, try using a main relay that is in a working vehicle and plug it into your connector and see if it works better. i'm not sure about the fuel pump though cause that is very rare for honda fuel pumps to go bad, if that is so, just get a walbro 255, its only 10 dollars more over OEM. lol hope this helps!

I'm not certain what this ^ says.

But yes, with the information given, I would say the main relay.

So are you saying the car will start and run if you hold the key to the start position?

If I read that totally wrong, and its just being temperamental, meaning only starting sometimes, and occasionally shutting off, then I would also lean towards the main relay being the culprit.

Also, usually when fuel pumps go out they are out, and that's it. They don't usually come back to life when they want to.

no once its started it doesnt turn off. Its just starting it up is the problem. I have to leave the key in the ignition for like 10 minutes and then the check engine light goes away and it cranks.
