Default Oil Filter Relocation Experiences?

I was thinking about buying an oil filter relocation kit over on F22parts.com or importperformanceparts.net. I was wondering if anyone else had bought one and had any, i guess, "reviews." I want to make sure these are quality and wont leak... seeing as oil is crucial ha. Also could there be a negative effect with this kit? like since the oil has to travel farther to the filter? I guess i get to put more oil in also since there will be lengths of hose and more volume. My hands are quite large even though my arms are gangly as hell, it takes me quite some time to wrestle the oil filter off

1. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these kits and did u like them?
2. Could there be a negative effect produced from doin this?

Don't know anything about the place you're getting yours from. But I will say that I relocated my filter on my H22 and it is better off for it. I also installed an oil cooler in the process. It now holds 7 qts of oil and stays nice and cool. I put mine in front of the driver's tire on the other side of the guard. I also had some hydraulic hoses custom made at NAPA so I could run them where I needed them. You should get a larger filter so it can hold more oil. Not too big though.

These are great, but as you said, more oil has to be added, but not a whole lot. if you move it a few feet you may be looking at maybe 1/4 qt. of oil to a 1/2 extra.

Only downside I have ever seen was when I was working on a 65 fairlane 500 tube chassis race car at the shop. We put on the oil relocation kit when we were putting the whole car back together and wiring it and such. We followed the manufacturers directions as to which side is inlet and which is outlet, and that actually turned out to be wrong. fired the engine for the first time, ran great, but no oil pressure. Bottom end was all good, but new rockers and pushrods had to be bought and put in. So be sure to be careful of that. Yikes.

I haven't personally used either of those kits but I did piece a kit together for one of my cars a couple years ago. I bought everything from anplumbing.com

You have to get under the car to get the drain plug, to reach my arm another 12" upwards isn't a big deal esp knowing that there's possibility that a hose will leak/rupture and seize my engine or cause upper end replacement.

More sometimes simple means more then can fail.
