Default brightest/whitest 9005/9006

just curious what is the brightest/whitest headlights for our EF's. since its not really plausible to retrofit some HID's with our glass housings what is the next alternative? i havent tried the Luminics Titanium bulbs but if someone has please chime in.

They have fantasic "jdm" yellows which i had as highbeams, i also have their "ultra" white which are kind of lame since they have the blue coating on them. The titanium bulbs dont have the coating and are double in price from all the other colors that luminics offers.

throw some brands out there cuz im curious i really want something super white with NO color to them.

For 9005 and 9006, look into HIR bulbs. 9011 and 9012, respectively.

9011 can be purchased here.

They used to offer 9012 as well, but I do not see them right now.

eBay often has HIR bulbs available. So does the Dodge dealer (they're OEM on some models). You'll need to trim the tabs slightly to fit the HIR bulb into a 9005 or 9006 socket, but the filament location is identical and the optics will be correct.

Blue filter = whiter halogen light (less yellow)
Blue filter = less total light output

Unfortunately, this is the choice we must make. Do you want better vision, or whiter light?

The saving grace here is that the HIR bulbs I recommended are less yellow than typical halogen bulbs, while still delivering much more light output than even an unfiltered halogen bulb.
