D16Z6 Swap help
Hi I have a 88 ef that i did a d16z6 swap on. The swap consisted of a y8 mani, obd1 dizzy and obd2 injectors. The car was dpfi before i started. I used this wiring diagram to convert the injectors and dizzy over. Then i used a friends prebuilt obd0 to obd1 harness (i wont say what brand name but it works great in his car) to convert crom obd1 to obd2. Now i have the car started and it runs great but... The engine light comes on. This is not like a normal engine light it turns on for about a 5 count then off for one count. It always does this and when the light cycles the car surges making it difficult to drive in town. I have double and tripple checked my harness and the only differnce between mine and my friends is i have my own wires for the injectors instead of them going throught the original harness.
Hoping someone else has had this problem and is willing to shed some light on the subject.

Just a guess... Map sensor?
And it seems that you have permanently jumped your ECU into diagnostic mode somehow.
OBD1 puts the codes out at the check engine light, but ONLY after you short two wires together... seems like yours might be shorted.

no these two wires are not jumped togather i can jump them togather and from what i can tell it is sending a code 10 but if i check the resistance for the intake temp sensor it is in spec so really don't know what to do at this point.

bump I am curious about this as well....I have read else where about a "no code" cell that acts similar to this and was solved by replacing the main relay. But the main relay was replaced with a brand new one and the ECU runs my obd1 crx z6 just fine with no codes.
