Default D16z6 OBD1 swap in place of D16y7 OBD2

Has anyone did this swap? The d16z6 complete swap will replace my d16y7 in my 00' hatch. I want to use my existing y7 wiring harness from the z6 engine to my OBD2a-OBD1 coversion harness into a uberdata chipped p28 for boost. Any insight will be appreciated..all search results were useless!
