over haeating issues...
the set up is a d16y7 with a y8 head. it was just swapped in to an 89 civic dx hatch...
i finally got the thing running but now in having an over heating problem
ive changed the thermostat, the fan, checked the fuses, all the connections that go to the harness, all grounds have been checked and im about to change the little sensor that barley sticks out of the block under the distributor as well...
the problem is that the fan never comes on and the coolant never get circulated...any ideas guys?

dont bother with either the temp sender or the ecu temp sensor located on the side of the head. those tell the ecu temp info and the gauge what to read. the switch that activates the fan is on the back of the block to the left of the oil filter. jump the 2 wires and see if the fan comes on. if it does, then the switch is bad. if it doesn't, then either you have a cut wire somewhere or the fan relay is malfunctioning. test it out if need be
