So this is aparently a K20a fron a FD2R.
this guys is doing a whole conversion from FD1 to FD2R.

But the part i dont get is this engine setup.
Im assuming is the stock typeR engine with the whole suspension setup but why it seems that the exhaust is in the front of this k series?

 

k i know is not the exhaust but i just cant figure out what is that thign in front.. looks like a heat shield...

That is not a K it's an R18. FD1 cars came with the 1.8 R18. The FD2 came with the K series motor.

That's a catalytic converter.

 

I think the R20 only came in the Accord and CR-V. I could be wrong.

 

I was curious to know what 2.0 is in the 2.0 FD civic, K20Zx. I was pretty sure there were some R20 civics in the Phillipines.

Just looked. I think it's only the R18

 

He put the R18 back in it. You can see it in the picture where the guy is applying the inner hood sticker. That's an R18

 

^^ the motor you see at the end when he is puting the hood sticker on is the motor that is pictured at the top of this thread. Not sure what motor that is exaclty.

But to me it dosnt look like an R18

 

All that money on a conversion, strip down and color change to put back the powerless drivetrain. Like doing an Si conversion on an EX, a waste.

 

led fogs and spoon brakes on a R-series...........

 

thanks guys... yeah i thought it was something else... this is kinda ridiculos but to each their own... with that conversion adn those brakes and prbly new suspension, i wouldve completed it with t least a k20a2, z1 or k24... if not a k20a....kinda of a waste of car tho
