Is it the real deal, or a knock off? Anyone have one of these?

looks like a faux to me. its brand new. they only come on cars, and even if the car is brand new, it would sitll have stripped paint around the holes where the screw was taken off.

 

what the hell is the point...to fool yourself in beleiving that u are THAT much closer to owning a japanese version? money spent better elsewhere

 

i have one. it came with the car so i dont know if it's real or not.


the guy who did the jdm conversion for me might have gotten a used front, and this was still on it.

 

earns points at the car show !!!!!

 

 

The real ones look like the holes are bigger and the kanji looks a little bit wider as opposed to the knock off.

I was just wondering what everyone thought of this, it's a pretty neat little item I think! Thanks for clarifying this up ppl.

y is it neat..its not like thats the cars real vin..who cares..its a little blue plate..lol..people sell them for like 50 bucks...50 bucks for a freakin piece of used car junkyard scraps.id rather put that into some new brake pads or something.

 

how can they be new? why would honda make vin tags that werent put on cars? In case someone looses theirs??????? They do look genuine, in that theyre the same as ones found on ITR/CTRs but theyre probably knockoffs

 

I got an email from the seller and he said they were replicas. Honda makes *new* replacement parts, like the Interior JDM Type R badge... but that's not numbered... heh oh well.
