How much Boost can a stock H22 handle??
I want togo turbo... but idk if for now I could just put on a kit that I have sit'n in my room... could I run 5psi. with out doing damage to the motor daliy driving...?? (Y/N)
There was a 487whp bone stock internal H22 several years ago, but if it blew up, they'd swap another $900 motor in a day or 2 and be done. 90% of Prelude owners don't have that ability. Most can barely afford the regualr maintenance associated with ownership.

my personal knowledge on the subject of turbo's is
1) If the motor wasn't built for it, probably a bad idea
2) You need some kind of computer control module to control the boost and to let the turbo spin after you shut the engine off to cycle oil through it, so it doesn't build up sludge or acid or something.
no matter what u boost it could blown up depends how its treated and tuned. if you got the money to boost the car u should have enough to buy another engine if she goes if not dont boost.
well that was really ****ing useful
wow dude!
haha definitely missed out on that one, the lude still running??
and just like they *** said - tune is everything

It was st00pid tuned with Neptune and last I heard they were chasing 10s[in a civic coupe] and 500whp on stock internals.
Found it; Something for you "I want to boost my stock H22" guys
500whp+ & 10s in a Civic Stock H22, origins unknown. This still doesn't mean its SAFE to boost 5-7-10psi on a stock H22
