Default instrument clusters??????

question to all that would know the specifics...... and or help me....
i have an 1999 civic si and i was messin with the cluster (replacing the dash lights/illuminating the redline/si emblem well in the process the fuel guage needle popped off and or broke if you will how would i go about fixin that and or replacing without spending a **** load of money...

would a type-r cluster fit and directly hook up in the harness or would i have to modify it?????

i know this is possible.. but how to make it possible..... could somebody tell me how to make a s2000 digital cluster work in my honda si?? ive seen it in magazines but they dont say how they went about doin it......

I don't know about fixing your broken SI cluster but I know an EK9 Civic Type-R cluster will work and fit right in.

IDK bro, when I was replacing the faces on my Ex grill I popped off the gas & temp needles...

They were broke & would not go back on. I had to buy a new one for about $50 at a scrap yard.

You can try to go to a scrap yard (though when i looked i couldn't find ANY 96+ civics.)

I went to H-K Auto salvage and got a new cluster & swapped the broken pieces with working ones.

Im sure any 96-00 gas needle & motor housing would work, just make sure not to break it when you transfer it into your cluster

give them a call & ask

all 96-00 civic clusters are plug and play.. also 97-01 crv clusters.

s2000 cluster requires quite a bit of work, and other pieces for the vss and such.. so unless you get GOOD prices you're looking anywhere inbetween 350-500

quite a few people do.

check out the cluster swap thread or search for people who have swapped in an s200 cluster.
