fuel pressure gauge and regulator ?'s
Ok this is the first one i've done, i've got a eg with a b16a2, just installed a b&m fuel pressure gauge at the filter, reads about 45psi while cranked and about 20 or so when its turned off, is this normal with the stock regulator? I'm about to install the b&m regulator so was wondering what kinda fuel pressure i should aim for with i/h/e. any help or advise would be appreciated.

before you go even any farther may i ask why you need the regulator? i have seen more bad than good with it.
but the fp does drop while off, there is a check valve in the pump to keep rail pressure while off, not always operating pressure.
the stock reg is fine, technically the fueling should be made up through the injectors, not fp.

if its the clamp on type, i have never gotten one to seal properly.
if you want to put it on, have at it. i just think there are many better ways including keeping your stock reg .
but thats just me.
i had the vortech version, just wasnt purple, and it never held vacuum to allow me to set base f.p. correctly.
