oem radio / equalizer question

Default oem radio / equalizer question

hey what's up
i currently have the oem radio on my hatchback and i just bought an equalizer.
i wanted to connect it right now but i couldn't find the plug where the equalizer goes to. anybody have picture where the plug is located or if it even has one?

if i remember right you have to have a factory radio with the equalizer to go with it. only ones that had the equalizer option had the plug in the back to use it. xD if i remember right

anyone else has a different opinion?

alright so if my oem radio doesn't have the plug to connect to my equalizer then
what kind of radio can i look for that has it? For example what year models from what cars oem radio will plug and play to my car? (ef)

A 92 teg has the plug on the back, I learned this the hard way, I removed the blue plug and lost it and now the radio won't come on without it, so look for a 92 teg ls for one.

theres a harness that plugs up to the stock harness between the player and the chasi harness and the little plug comes off of that il get you a pic as soon as it gets daylight here

acura is honda.
its the exact same stuff, especially from cars back then...
only difference is the radio will say acura. get a sticker to go over top of it. it is still oem.

Exactly! Honda radios were almost all the same for almost all models from 88-00 same rectangular blue plug, in fact I've had a BB6 prelude cd player in my car at one point before the da tape player, only radio I know for a 100 percent fact has the plug for the equalizer is a da, its a blue round plug u remove on the back of the tape player that says "this unit will not operate unless the equalizer is installed or the special cap is in place"
