Default car dead after washing motor. need help.

Car was running fine this morning. I just finished the swap last night. I drove the car around and was starting cool. I came home washed the car and opened the hood. Washed the front of the motor, got water on headers, and front of block. Got some water on the starter too.

I let everything dry, after that car wouldn't start. I unplugged everything and cleaned with electrical cleaner, let dry and plugged back in. Now car cranks but wont turn over/on.

********11/3/09 UPDATE

F**king hate this car. Ok so I redid the wiring for the distributor. I did it the first time with crimp connectors, i took all that off and sodered and put heat shrink on the wiring for the dizzy. I've opened up the dizzy, cleaned it out, cleaned out the spark plug cables. unplugged connections on tranny and front of motor - cleaned them out, let them sit over night and plugged back in today. Nothing stupid car still wont start. I check fuses, I checked and there is ground for negative post cable and another ground on right side of engine. I've unpluged main harness cleaned and plugged back in. I have unpluged ecu, tried another one - Same problem, and then went backt to correct ecu.

what other grounds are there.
Nothing. any good decent priced shops near covina, ca, and how much do you think they will charge to fix.

just take the cap and rotor off, hairdryer inside dizzy and cap/rotor to dry it out and you should be fine. you shouldnt have to change anything, just dry them out.

ive had cars that ran fine but wouldnt start on really humid, misty rainy days due to a dried out rubber o ring around the cap. Just the spray(moisture) can be enough dampness to effect the dizzy. It take 30 seconds to take off the cap and wires and hit inside with a hairdryer so why don't you give it a shot.

the ground from the negative post cable seems to be going to the clutch cable holder/bracket. is there another ground that goes directly to the tranny
