can you bolt up the FG2(K20Z3) transmission to the K20Z1 motor with no issues. I know that there is drive by wire but I don't know if that would cause any issues. thanks!

ok. so does that mean there is some type of wiring coming from the z3 tranny housing which the z1 motor can't account for?

reason i'm asking is because i'm getting mixed responses about this swap and i just want to know before i spend $1k on a z3 transmission.

they both have the same gear ratio except the Z3 trans has TSX 6th and an LSD, additionally you will have problems with Z1 sensors bolting up to the Z3 Case and vice versa. Other than that they have the same bolt hole locations and dimensions.
