Default Rebuilt Motor Wont Start

Hello HT, Im in need of help. I just rebuilt my motor and dropped it in, hooked up all sensors, put on intake manifold and headers. filled all fluids, full tank of gas.. It wont start !! Im jumping my battery ffrom sitting, my blinkers, hazards, power windows and locks, windshield wipers. all that stuff works. The only thing going on under the hood is the radiator fan going on. nothing from the started or fuel pump. did I overlook anything on my first rebuild ? Thanks for any ideas

Did you forget to connect the important ground wires on the thermostat housing (G101) and on the transmission (G3)?

if you arent even cranking, look at the grounds. because if you have the chassis ground hooked up, and the engine ground isnt, it may not crank.

and remember you need
4 things to run
fuel
air
compression
correct ignition timing.

Checked all grounds, trans, starter, valve cover, thermostat, and I cant find out what wrong. Still no fuel pump, just my lights and blinkers and radiator fan. Now I hear a clicking on my ride side of the interior... could this be the ECU ? The car ran before I pulled the motor

Check whether fuses 44 (hood), 31 (dash), or 13 (dash) is blown.

all fuses are good even the 44,31, and 13. I heard a clicking from the motor for a seconds or two, but buzzing from the ECU. All wires are connected to ecu Im just worried thats the problem, like I said It ran before I pulled the motor.

All hoses are tightened down, and just replaced with a better oil filter not the cheap pepboys one. Its cranking, but very slowly. It doesn't want to crank too hard to completely turn over, its just going real slow. My starter got a little hot so Im waiting for another try at it. thanks

Oil pump, front a rear main seals, rod and main bearings, piston rings, honed the block, valve seals, head gasket, oil pan gasket, alternator belt, PS belt and got the crank polished.

sounds like a bearing clearance issue, plastigage any off the main bearings?, was the crank able to rotate freely after you got everything torqued down, all the caps on correctly, measure all of bearing journals for wear its so you can get the correct bearing sizes, have you rebuilt before or is it ur first one.

yea but slow crank after a rebuild sounds like too tight of bearing clearance

If the valve isn't bent, you may want to check and do a valve adjustments job. If the valves are too tight, the car won't start either.
