2000 EX 2DR

Imagine you are outside the civic looking in through the driver side window. Put your finger on the glass & go down until your finger hits that black piece. I want to call it a weather strip but can not find that piece anywhere the paint is coming off so the shiny metal is showing & it looks like s**t & I want to replace it. can someone please give me a link to this part. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU! FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY & SACRED HELP ME... a lil over the top? sorry I just want the part thanks

 

only thing i can think of is the cowling, but its not metal, its plastic. maybe if u post a pic of what your talkin about.

The biggest cosmetic defect of this generation is this window molding. For replacement, see http://hondatuning.automotive.com/92...ing/index.html

In the alternative, you can re-paint the old ones. Search this site for discussion of same. Lots of folks here do this, since the new moldings run around $200 for a sedan. I used Krylon gloss black paint and this way improved the appearance of the car, IMO. A few others have what I think may be better suggestions for the paint to use. As always for any paint job, surface preparation is everything. :-)

the piece is metal and at the top where the window touches is rubber if u paint it do not sand the rubber it will crack and come off
