If you end up choosing Skunk2... go Pro C! Several of my friends that track their cars pretty seriously are also entertaining the idea of switching their current set ups.

koni yellow with gc and extended top hats?

bout $150 PER shock, so like $600 for all four.
$330 for Koni compatible GC
if your going GC top hats, they're $120/pair

you're already over a grand. just go for the K-sports, they're better anyways.

http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/coilove...roduct_id=cd01 (scroll down for models and prices)

36 level dampening adjustments...haha overkill but hey give alot of room for play!

has compression/rebound adjustments where Koni only has ONE type of adjustment. (i think its rebound only)

but yea no need to make a hybrid suspension system, go with proven rally set-ups and be done with it.

I'd completely disagree with you.

"36 level dampening adjustment" doesn't really mean much. Typically, out of a needle valve, you get very little adjustment range. It is just the nature of the beast. So you have 36 "clicks" but from click 1 to click 36 you wont get much change % wise, which is important.

"Compression/rebound both being adjustable" It appears they are adjusted by one ****. In everything i have dealt with you DO NOT want a rebound adjustment to effect your compression. You really want them to be independent of each other.

On my car i adjust rebound frequently, but rarely ever touch compression, because the tracks around here are all relatively smooth.

i dont have either set up in my car. im going illuminas and GC's and custom top hats, i do a lot of freeway driving and i ride slammed so im gonna go with Tyson's suggestion on this one.

there is a thread around here thats k-sports vs koni's and people give some very good arguements for the k-sports. i dunno i think yellows/gc's are just a bit over rated.

link?

I don't think the koni/gc is over rated. It is a great setup, for what it is.

Proven reliability, proven warranty, great customer service, proven quality.

IMO most of the "JDM/full coilover" stuff is way way over-rated. There is good offerings in that line up, but it isn't in anything off the shelf.

Yes, i really don't see what so crazy about it though.

Some of the Ohlins stuff is good.

But I didn't see anything that was "cazy"...

most of the setups on that site arent talked about on HT. i find that pretty weird, there is more out there than just koni and illumina.

you said you want something good for daily driving, what do you mean exactly? my daily driving is dumped like a ****, but your definition may be different than mine.

lowering springs with good struts would be what your looking for if you just want a modest drop (1-2") with NO height adjustability.

i would go for the Tien lowering springs i think for like $300/set. then you should pick up some Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGX's.

i know people will talk crap about those shocks but if you dont plan on slamming it, dont get all crazy with koni yellows and adjustable this and that.
