Im swapping out my gsr head with a new rebuilt one and my car smokes so thats why im replacing it and it BURNS a lot of oil. At the beginning of the week i fill my car with oil to the max and at the end of a few days my car will be low on oil. Could it be my Pistons are bad or is it just my vavle seals and what not? Well im going to change my head since i have a rebuilt head and change my head gasket. My friend was telling me that i should change my rings while im at it too. Is it a easy process? I dont have a lot of money. He said just to open up the oil pan and unscrew the screws and pop it out from the top. If i buy new OEM rings will i also need to replace anything else while at it? Because i dont want to just replace it then something happens because i didnt do something right. Please help.
