Ok, so I took of my aicv to clean it again, and it looked like coolent was dripping out of the lines going to it. So, is there suppose to be coolent in the lines going to the AIVC?

I've always had a CEL since I've owned the car. I'm gunna pull the code tomorrow in class.

 

Afterward, reset the ECU to which codes repeat, which are the only ones to be concerned about.

could someone tell me what color the wires going to there AICV are? green and black hopfully? And do they lead into the harness by the starter?

I still don't understand why I had to legnthen the wires for the connector going to the AICV. I've searched all over and I can't find the same style connector, like the MAP and the TPS(had them switched around at first).

Any other ideas on what's causing my slow crappy running car?

 

Tell us whats it is doing and a list of any cels (check engine light) that you may have. What motor? chassis? ecu? wiring harness?

The car idles rough, surges between 12-1700 rpms. has little power.

CYP, Cylinder Sensor
IACV, air idle control valve
Primary Oxogen sensor heater.

 

sometimes the IACV can get cloged up check that first off, doubtful that is your problem though. you can also check the operation of the IACV by applying 12V to you should hear it click, if you do you know it is working. there should be 2 coolant lines one going to and one away from the valve. I can't say what color wires you got going to the IACV because you aren't sure what harness you got. I know my 2000 Ex takes a orange and black. i know orange not positive on the black, could be green with white stripe, that might be VTEC wire i am thinking about for some reason.

It is a sensor in the dizzy. Not positive on exactly what or where it is inside of the dizzy but a little further research you should be able to find easy.

O2 sensor is obvious

what harness are you using? if youre using the si harness idk y you would have to extend the iacv connector. also, on mine, (b16a2 in 96 ex) the solid green and solid black connector goes to my power steering line by the alternator. my aicv has a blue/black wire and a yellow/black wire, which im also getting a cel for, but thts because i have to hardwire it to my ecu.

 

To my knowledge (I could be wrong), the Cylinder position sensor (CYP) is located inside the distributor... sometimes the magnetic pickups can get cracked and damaged with age/stress/excess temperature swings.

There are 3 sensors inside the distributor CKP (crank position), TDC (top dead center), CYP (cylinder position) depending on the make/model/OBD versions...
