Default Just bought a 90' Civic Hatchback, questions

car is getting ready to hit 200k. could use a head gasket kit replacement. will prolly have that done then look into buying a new motor and trans on ebay.

question, the most economical upgrade for this car, looking into slowing adding performance mods. i was told i could easily exchange this d15 for a d16 which would be a simple upgrade and still very cheap to buy. what do u guys think. looking to spend under 900 for motor and trans.

To keep it simple I'd just go this route.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/faq-mpfi-swap-information-639552/

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30020

and these guys are awesome for performance parts.

Many on this site as well as myself can tell you that hmotorsonline.com is a very trustworthy place to buy a motor. I've my my b16 running strong for over 7 years since I bought it from them. I would search the for sale forum for an Si transmission or locally through craigslist and get your motor from hmotorsonline
