What is the most reliable but not expensive way to hit 12.999 in the 1/4 mi?
and without using n2o! I am thinking of selling my hybrid accord and getting a civic with either a built H22a, or turbo h23, or SC'd B18c1... but what would get me into the 12s, and keep my car reliable for daily driving? any suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.
go with the built h22 with high comp good cams and a lot of machine work in an eg hatch and you got it easy, sure you can get mid to low 11's
12s are easy
I plan on hitting it at my next race in a few weeks
Here's my setup:
92 CX hatch
Skunk2 coil overs
No rear seats/rear seatbelts
00 B18C1
Place Racing rear solid engine mount
AEM CAI
Skunk2 intake manifold
Skunk2 ECU chip
DC sports race header
Quaife LSD
Action SR clutch w/Clutchmasters flywheel
M&H slicks on bogart drag on flys
13x8x22

highly unlikely. People such setups are usually hitting MAYBEEEEEEEEEEE 13.7
h22 and a set of slicks. Pretty easy. b18c5 would do it too.
EDIT: I just now saw skunk2 IM and ecu w/race header....I guess on slicks and a perfect run you could do 12.9x or so

A b18b and turbo would be cheaper than any you listed and be in the 12's with slicks and the RIGHT driver. For daily driving, anything with boost needs more care than N/A.

he said cheap.
as far as hybrid dreams is concerned, it would b a fat chance in hell of hittin 12s with that setup, it wont yield high enough trap speeds. mid 13s at best.

"Cheap, fast, reliable.. Choose two."
I was going to say choose one.[Modified by Civicboy, 4:40 PM 8/31/2002]
