So after completing my motor swap it appears I may have failed to tighten the bolt that connects the shifter extension rod to the transmission and low and behold it flew off on my drive home.

I pulled over, tied the extension rod in place by using a lanyard and attaching it to the shift rod with some knots......best i could do in the pitch black with a small scissor lift and under the hot motor on the side of the road with traffic flying by.

Anyways.....long story short the bolt and washer is gone...somewhere on the side of HWY 1 awaiting a CA inmate to pick it up on trash detail.

Anyone know the length that bolt is supposed to be??????? I know its 8mm x 1.25 according to my manual but no mention of the length!!!
