Default Raceland coilovers

I keep seeing these on ebay. I can only ask how they can sell these for this price and still have the coilovers actually be strudy for racing? They sa they are but from the price, how can they be serious? I checked the sales and It say 8 people bought them, but I couln't message them through eBay to see how they worked out. anyone have any expierence with these or seen them used?

I have seen these elsewhere on another forum. Looking at the spring rates, I would say they aren't exactly stiff for road racing track stuff. I would go with something stronger. I pulled these numbers off another forum for you.
The ones you looked at are 310/417. Not a whole lot more compared to stock. My guess is that if you lower it significantly, you'll be bottoming out like crazy.

[What is Progressive Spring Rate?]
Progressive rate springs are likely “all-in one” solutions. They are often used on performance aftermarket kits like Eibach or others, and they are good for daily performance street driving. They help you achieve the highest performance when driving hard, while providing a smooth, comfortable drive the rest of the time.

[What is Linear Spring Rate]
Linear springs are more often used in drag racing, road racing, track and races that require a “high spring rate”, in which a constant spring rate is more important than a smooth ride. They are still popular because they are:

1. Easier to produce and can be made to lower a car beyond the point of progressive rate springs.
2. Easy to work with, because the spring rate never changes, allowing quick chassis set-up.
3. Inexpensive, allowing most race teams to use several different sets depending on track conditions

I don't know if I would trust something named "Raceland". Especially with spring rates like stock.

I do agree with turboteg though, good for a nice night of hardparking.

I have heard no complaints from people who have these, they go low on an ep3 and people say the ride is as good as Tein.
