Hi guys,

I had this car up on the marketplace a couple days ago. I updated the post because I don't want to sell/trade it and have a bad rep in the forums because the car has a minor problem, so here it is:

Its a 96 EK DX..
Just got a new engine swap (D15B) ~45K
New tranny ~ 25K
Converted to OBD2A to OBD1 P28 on Chrome with a B16 basemap I believe.

Now the problems..
1. The car "jerks" RANDOMLY when cruising on the fwy..
2. FI E/M fuse keeps blowing..

What I noticed before was that something would click by the ECU (engine light will flash) and the car would "jerk". And FI E/M issue just started happening when we converted to OBD1 I THINK.

Any advice or input would be helpful, I'm not a typical Honda head.. I'm learning as I go here. Thanks guys.

 

You probably got a short somewhere when you converted to OBD1, I would re-check the conversion, and the jerks most likely a non fire on cyclinders. Check your dizzy, FI, and fuel filter.

I was reading a thread and it probably IS a short.. The shop I took it to said there was a wire from the alarm connected to the 12V going to the main relay. I took the alarm off, same thing.. I have to check the wiring again, see if there are any exposed. BTW the dizzy is fine, I think they changed the fuel filter, I don't know about the fuel injectors though, i gotta check those too.
