Accord 93 2.2 4DR EX Sedan Engine Analyzer
Greetings to all,
I got a very rough idle when I start the car with a cold engine.
I seems that it is missing some ignition firings.
Also, the check engine light comes on after a short while.
Since it is a 93 model, I would like to know:
- What type of scanner can I use to do the run-time (i.e with the engine running) analysis?
- Where am I supposed to plug it?
- Are there any socket pins that I can short circuit to see the online analysis?
Thanks and regards,
Ista

Check the Accord FAQ for checking the CEL on OBD1 Accords...
Check the plugs make sure they are in good condition and gapped correctly..
Also check the plug wires to see they are in good working order without any tears and/or cracks..

Sounds like he want to know about a real-time scanner for the pre-OBD II, not just reading a trouble code. Most scanner for older Japanese cars are a little expensive, unless he can find something through e-bay or craigslist.
Well you can pull the 2 pin connector down from the glove box and run a wire between the two pins for when you get that CEL and at least get that CEL figured out. The actual scanner hook up is the three pin next to the 2 pin.
