Chassis swap info
Well this is not exactly an S2K question, but here it goes... I have come upon a great deal on a low mileage F20C engine+box. Not wanting to pass it on, I'm looking into all possible chassis swaps so I'm not stuck.
Besides finding an empty S2k shell... what RWD is there with a swap-friendly chassis???

AE86, its fairly easy, there is a guy that makes the motor mounts brackets for them, all you would need to do is wiring and small fab stuff like some notching here and there and a custom driveshaft. We are in process right now of doing the swap.
i havent heard of it either but im guessing it would be harder.it would need a f2k plate(im guessing there is one like h2b) fabed mounts and ****.i dont think anyone makes a kit for the swap.

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Why would you swap the F20 into any FWD chassis anyway? The K series swaps in so much easier with more tuning options.
As far as RWD chassis' go, I remember reading about a Miata F20C swap that was WAY low on HP because of the exhaust routing differences. The F20C is pretty sensitive....especially on the exhaust side, remember? It seems easier to lose power than gain it.
Iduno. I guess there's benefits and downsides to the swap into other chassis'.

No one has mentioned any FWD chassis, only a FWD tranny because the S2000 tranny most likely wouldn't work in a Lotus Elise. But all this is certainly beyond the OP's budget anyhow.

I suppose your right though, a k20 or even a k24 would be a better option, i just don't like rsx's so they scew my view of the motor
