Please help, B16A with P30 in an LS
Well like the title says, I have a 94 LS with a JDM B16A, OBD1, and a P30 ECU, and I NEED HELP PLEASE. The Vtec and knock sensors work fine. The problem is my TPS!!
I did the wiring test and my stock one failed. I have 5 volts to the TPS but 0 volts on the return wire. Then I got one out of a salvage yard with the same results. So I finally bought a BRAND NEW Blox TPS off of Ebay. Once again I got the same results. I have #7 cell and absolutely no power until 4250 RPM. Now I'm not just saying that its a little slower. It spits an sputters as I'm taking off and once I do get it up to speed on the interstate it will go from 80 to 60 on small hills, unless I down shift to keep the RPMS up. I drive 40 miles, one way, for work and this is my only transportation. It's a real pain in the *** driving it like this!
What pin location, on the ECU, is the TPS?
Would it be different for the stock LS wiring harness and the OBD1 P30?? IDK. I could not find this information in your massive data base.
P.S. I don't know if this matters or not but it use to be an automatic, the ECU is for a manual.
Thanks in advance for any help or input.

sounds to me like its a ecu issue, i had the same problem change and checked tps many times, becasue it does seem to main issue, but try a different ecu from some where.. and see.. i did and it worked fine for me, i was also using the stock ecu for that engine but sometimes when doing swaps nothing beats a chipped p28....
I used a jumper wire to get my cell. Does anyone know what pin # the TPS is? I want to make sure that the ECU is getting signal before I spend $ on a new one.
