Default New to Honda, possible owner of '95 Civic coupe

Hondas are new to me. I've owned nothing but GM since I have had my license. My friend has a 95 coupe with a D15 swap and a few other mods. The car is a member's on here, Erod. I'll be searching around when I have more time. But any quick info is appreciated. It will be my younger brother's car, and I'm trying to get him set in the right direction. I understand the search button, so no need to rip into me on that lol. But any info you can pass my way would be appreciated. The motor swap and honda in general is a whole new ball game to me and is a lot to take in from my quick 10 min lurk around this section. What potential is in the D15?

The car can be seen here: http://erod.com/erodscivic.htm

I currently have a JDM D15B (I'm pretty sure the "v-tec" is implied...) in my EJ2... Its the fifth engine that's been in this car. I read an article somewhere that said that in terms of "HP to Litres ratio", its second only to the engine in the S2000. I didn't know anything about it when I bought it, I was supposed to be getting a B16; but my local Honda dealer who was doing the install screwed up in more ways than I can count. That being said, I've been pleased with it. Its not super powerful or anything like that, but it hasn't died yet either... and I'm sadistic to my car. The only mod's that I've put into it (because I'm swapping it again in the Spring) are an AEM cold intake and iridium +4 plugs. Though there's also a pin-hole somewhere in the manifold that makes it sound nice.

Once you get it up over 3k RPMs it drives pretty nice; though getting to 3k (especially up a hill) can sometimes be embarrassing. Seriously though, I think the engine has a lot more potential than I will ever take advantage of, God knows it can take a beating....

well...
the d15b (1.5) don't have the after market surport that say the 1.6 has
so finding internals will be more difficult
ie rods pistons
yes there are options just not as many
that is why i switched to th d16a

but the car looks clean... price?

Car has 28k miles, and is selling to my bro for $3,400. Clutch installed less than 2k miles ago. I'm not the least bit worried about the car lasting for him.

I'm not certain he is going to be boosting it. I would lean towards not, simply because he'll be a college student this fall and doesn't need to be throwing 3-4k into a car (pistons/rods/turbo kit/install parts). Of course, if he does, he's got me for the labor part.

Then again, I bet next summer I'll be tearing it down lol.

38k on a eg? well damn... that sounds like a world record or something?? I thought all eg's had like 200-1mil miles..... geez. Very unlikely I'm sure. The car is old enough so the title doesn't need to count mileage, and maybe the cluster has 38k but most definitely not the car
