Default Good Tire For Lots OF Canyon Driving

I drive about 40 miles of canyon road to work and back every day and I'm needing a set of tires that will handle very well and which arent very expensive since I wont be expecting more than 13 or 14k miles out of them. I also heard that having your car lovered affects tread life. I have GC coilovers on my ITR and its lovered about 2.5" but an alignment has been done and the camber was adjusted so everything is within specs so I'm wondering if there is still increased tread wear even though the camber and alignment is correct. TIA

cheap & grippy = Azenis

yes, if you're lowered, inside of your tires will eat up quicker, even if you're within alignmnet spec.

I frequent canyons a lot ( ~100 miles of rough driving a week on canyons ). I go through tires every 6-10k miles depending on the tire. The Falken are good but nothing beats Dunlop W10's or FM901's for the money. Try them and u will see.

I have 195-50/15 S-03's. Excellent tire... and I drive canyon roads to work everyday, too.

azenis would be my first choice, but I can't find then locally for a decent price, though the S-03's are supposed to wear a bit better.

13 or 14k?? I'm lucky to get 6-8k per set of tires.

azenis... you can't beat the grip for the price. But you will only see 8k max, if you drive like a mad man. If your alignment (camber, toe, etc..) is within specs, the tire wear will be normal , but the more you beat on your tire, the faster they will wear out and depending on what turns you do most it'll wear out differently on every tire. Just rotate the tires frequently and you'll be ok. Have fun

I'd get the azenis due to the price.

What kinda weather u have down there in your area? I guess it doesn't rain much in California rite?

Yeah I guess Azenis will be great if there aren't much rain down there. It's something between great street tires and some DOT approved R compounds.
