magnaflow converter?
Wuddup Fellas,
Lookin at gettin the magnaflow catalytic converter for my 93 si because the original (and I do mean ORIGINAL converter is on its' last leg). I'm lookin at the direct fit model and was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether this was a direct bolt-on piece or if welding would be involved in it's installation?

I got magnaflow direct fit and it bolted on and fit perfectly it's held up pretty good haha it made it through about four months of driving w/ 16 mpg. The inside still looks mint.
For what its worth, I had a magnaflow high flow cat, it added a good sound to the car, but it imploded in a month... It was replaced under warranty but I figured I would share that...
I have had a Random Tech high flow cat for about 50k now... Random Technologies has a ton of direct fit Honda applications...

If the flange on your B pipe hasn't been modified and is still in tact you shouldn't need any welding.
I put a direct fit magnaflow on my SI. Purchased legit from ebay. I did it in my garage in about 1 hour. Make sure you purchase spare bolts and front and rear gaskets ahead of time. The cat does not come with gaskets or hardware.
I was replacing the B pipe at the same time as the cat so it was even easier for me.
The cat has been on 6 months (10,000 mi) without any problems. Noticeable power gain over the old OEM cat. It was like a different car at higher RPM's.
