Default Possessed Shifter?!

I have a 95 DB8 and tonight on my way home from my dad's my shifter started shaking and jerking as I gave it gas or let off the gas. When I got out of class and left for his house this evening it was fine. But once I got mayb halfway down the street from my dad's to home the shifter started pulling and pushing. It doesn't wobble side to side. Just back and forth. I can take a video tomorrow if needed.
I'm really hoping its not my transmission or clutch. Please help.

If its moving forward/backward as you accelerate/decelerate, your engine mounts are probably going and need replacing

The engine mounts were just replaced. They r innovative street. The previous owner had innovative race mounts but the vibration was unbearable. Could it be the shifter bushings themselves?

Was the rear engine mount replaced too? Check for cracks anywhere, could be your casing.

The rear hasn't been replaced with the street mount yet. It still has the race one. Could that be the problem. I just swapped out the other two not even 2 weeks ago. I'm going to throw it up on some stands tomorrow and check out every little thing lol. Is it safe to drive this way? 15-20mins each way to my class?

You should be fine, my boy cracked his tranny casing and was smashing the fucc out of it. So I don't see why not. Just be really careful..

^haha. Well I threw it up on my stands and looked around. Transmission not cracked (thank god), bushings all intact. Then I look at the firewall mount. No cross bolt (the main big *** one!) so luckily I had one spare from my civic build. I put that in there. I'm just finishing up my front brakes then I'm taking it for a drive. Ill let u guys know how it turns out.
