overheating problems!

Icon3 overheating problems!

hey my car is over heating really bad, I changed the thermostat, changed a couple of hoses and I even changed my radiator but the only thing is I havge a half sized radiator and im still over heating, do anyone one think that the radiator i put in is to small for the engine it a h22a vtec please help !!

i dont think it would overheat, but at the same time, why would you put a smaller radiator in?

did you replace the thermostat gasket?

and if so did you get the right one?

also when you bought a new radiator did you get a new radiator cap with it?

or this could possibly be your ECT sensor going out.

that tends to happen in our cars pretty frequently from what ive seen.

I used my old thermostat gasket it was still good ,, or should i change that one to,,and where is the ect senor located?

well your thermostat gasket may be it then.
because theres only so many things that can make an engine overheat.

and its pretty much right underneath the dizzy but check on the helms to be 100% sure what your taking out of the engine.

ok ill check that out tomorrow,, and should I put back my regular size radiator back in?

honestly from what ive heard from the guys that have been here far longer than I, the half rads are ok for our cars.

in fact if you research around a little, quite a few people have them on boosted cars.
let it be known that those are performance aluminum radiators but theyre on performance boosted cars. So it should be fine
