Will this fit? I know its a dumb thing to do, but I have a huge crack on my 2.5" collector and I need to fix it for smog purposes. Anyone know?

I apologize for the lack of info. I have a 97 SH with a dc header 2.5" collector mod. My collector has a huge crack and I can't pass smog with it.

Will the stock collector bolt up to the top half of a DC header?

 

Most likely not.

 

If your system is built for 2.5" they won't mate up anyway. You can probably get the crack welded as a patch to pass smog until you can get it replaced.

 

How'd it get cracked??

 

Thanks guys for the input. I will bring it to a local muffler shop and have them weld up the crack. I hit a hard dip in the road that caused the problem, :/
