Default ITR Header?

I have a EM1 with the B16a2 and I keep getting told that the dc sports header im running is killing my car. I was wondering if I got a itr manifold would i still pass smog? Is there a difference between the usdm and the jdm manifolds? Everbody keeps telling me I need a 2.5" collector but I still want to be able to pass smog, so if I got an itr manifold with a 2.5" collector would I still be able to pass smog? I would think I could because it is OEM but I just want to make sure I can before I try and buy one. Thanks.

well first of all neither one of those 2 header options are designed for your car and will hang lower than you probably want.

The people who tell you it's "killing your car" are idiots, simply there is no other header under 300 bux that to the best of my knowledge ever beaten a DC sports header in an unbiased dyno test. Sure you can spen 2/3/4 times as much and make marginally more. What you can do if you are dyno tuning your car along the way is to take your DC header to most local muffler shops and have them cut the collector and add change it to 2.5 and then pick up a matching cat and exhaust. This is going to be a wholly top end power mod and something your not going to use much on the streets.

If you don't have the 1 piece stainless version I would not recommend it.
