My friend has a car, idk what it does first hand cause its sporadic. The car idles up and down between 1500-2500 rpms, has very bad gas mileage, and throws an engine code but does it for a min. and then goes off. We fixed a vaccum leak, set the distributer timing and throttle. It straightened it out some but its still not right. We were thinking the ecu or fuel injecter/pump is massive, but idk, any suggestions?

 

try jumping the ecu for any codes. or try a different ecu
