WTB HID NOT MADE IN CHINA!
I know it may be unpopular to say so but I don’t care. This is American Jack and I want a good quality HID kit and an not trying to cut corners and buy products made in a Communist county that would much rather see is drown in our own blood and take our money and jobs. Having made my political statement are there any good quality HID kits Made in any Country but China that anyone is willing to recommend. Price is not an option but quality is.
Much obliged.

oe is pretty much the only way to do it if you want oe quality. I bought much of my retrofit gear used. Projectors came from a 5 series bimmer, ballasts from an Infiniti, made the wire harness, and bulbs from random sources. After having my retro for over 2 years, I actually just this week bought my first set of brand new bulbs. If you can find some with under 100 or so hours on them, you can get them for dirt cheap. Just make sure they are a matching set so they arent colorshifted differently (check for sequential numbers on the base to ensure they are a pair)
the reason why is pnp kits are ILLEGAL, so china is pretty much the only place that can make them.
sence your baller and dont have a budget, retro it, and you can use oem parts.

Thanks all for the feedback so far and for the record I am not a baller and have a budget like everyone else just dont believe in cheap parts on my all be it is a civic but that is just me. Someone PM'd this website and there materials are made in Germany or here in the good old US of A so will give them a try. They are not that much more than the bootleg Communist stuff on Ebay, etc.

FYI
On your Civic, the brake calipers, brake rotors, rubber bushings, and raw steel (used on all your body panels) was made/rolled/forged in China (and probably more than that).
PS - You are probably typing on a keyboard made in China, with a mouse made in China, and are sitting at your desk, which was made in China.

Thanks for the info but I am driving an 88 Civic not a 2008 which the statement about the parts being made in China. I found a good made in Germany Kit and of course it works without incident. Big ups to CarHIDKits.com if you want quality HID's at a reasonable price.
Looks like you found a kit, but I wanted to bring something to your attention. You are saying that you want good American made parts, and then you are going to install them in a foreign made car. If it was that big of an issue wouldnt you be driving a classic domestic car? Just my .02
It really doesnt matter, because you dont have the projector lenses to really control the light and make full use of it. You wont know the difference, unless the Chinese made ones happen to have a high failure rate.
CarHIDKits.com uses Chinese made kits. A German made Philips bulb costs about $70/bulb and they are claiming to sell a kit made in Germany for $79.99
Not trying to burst your bubble here but I'm calling a spade a spade.
99% of the kits you see selling online use Chinese made components and are assembled in China.

PHILIPS kits to my knowledge are made in germany, I dont know any kits that are made in the united states.
Just to square you away, Almost every aftermarket hid kit is ASSEMBLED in china, however, in actuallity, almost all of the cirtical components, such as the microproccessors, capacitors, transistors, and even the bulbs uv sheild, and bulb vessel, are manufactured in other countries.
The united states makes many bulb glass components including the hid vessel itself from sylvania, they then ship them to china, where the chinese factories attatch them to the base of the bulbs however they want to use them. The united states is usually the supplier for transistors, and some time microprocessors, if not germany makes the chips.
Japan makes some parts, Italy some others, it really take a lot of places to come together to make one little ballast. China, juts puts it all together.
I carry ballasts with philips manufactured hid vessels mounted to halogen bases, with ballast assembled in china with key parts made in germany, and lesser components from the united states.
Call it chinese if you want, but its a great product.

I still am under the impression, that philips makes the components for bulbs sold in some kits.

Philips does not make HID conversion kits regardless of the fact that there are vendors claiming to sell "Philips HID Kits"

NISSIN gets their raw material from China. NISSIN makes your brakes.
Your body panels are made of rolled and stamped steel. This steel is rought and rolled in China.
While the car was assembled in Japan, the majority of the components were sourced from either China or Thailand.
To assume "made in China" equals "poor quality" just proves your ignorance.
And congratulations, you still have Chinese made components in your "Germany" HID kit.
