My rear bumper is INDESTRUCTABLE!!
As some of you maybe know, I've been rear ended 3 (some odd) times...by big cars; Crown Vic, and two Maximas with no damage to my bumper at all.
Last night, driving home to Brooklyn through Manhattan via FDR drive in the rain. As some of you may know the designers of the FDR drive were on crack, and they forgot about installing onramps, so cars have no room to get up to any speed before they are already in the right lane. Speed limit is 40mph.
I was following another car in the right lane doing about 45mph. Also, there is a CHEVROLET CAPRI STATIONWAGON doing some aggressive driving right behind me. He tail gates me and switches lanes eratically, and back to tail gating me.
Car in front of me quickly swerves into middle lane, and there is a yellow cab basically parked in the right lane. PANIC STOP...I threshold brake. Soon as I am under a controled velocity, I check my rear view to see a big white thing getting bigger and bigger. Then, WAM!!! The Capri is up my ***.
We pull over. His car is broken! I mean BROKEN! His grille, headlight, front bumper, and most of the front right side of his 4500lbs + car is smashed in. I look at my car, and their a scratch on top of my bumper, and a 2 inch crack where the bumper bends.

man that sucks... but on the other hand doesn't your neck hurt? just kidding don't lie to the insurance company but by all means TAKE THAT ****'S MONEY!!!!!!!
Yeah that's the drawback to having good brakes and tires (and relative to most cars on the street Accords do have good brakes). Thank goodness the rear bumper is tough...
Actually I did...something along those lines.
He came back with, "My mom just had a stroke, and I'm rushing to the hospital."
*cough* Bullshit *cough*
"I'm sorry to hear that, but I still want my car fixed."

i got rearended the other day by a 4th gen accord sedan, no damage to either car (of course it was only a 5-10 mph collison)...anyways, i was going to be a dick and make him pay for the .5" long scratch he put in the bumper, but i had places to be and i just didn't feel like being a dick for some reason, oh well!...
