B18C ITR Compression Noises
So this is my first motor build and I wanted to run it past someone who is experienced (you guys). Does anyone know if this sounds normal? This is me spinning my B18C ITR motor.

Hopefully this means nothing is standing out as being f.u.b.a.r. It sounds okay to me, but I was concerned about some of the hissing noises that sounded like air coming back into the crank case. The cylinder walls looked shiney clean, no scoring or scrapes from bad rings. The valves were vacuumed checked and everything was okay. New head gasket, ARP head studs, and a long list of OEM parts I will spare you all from having to read
I hand cranked the compression up to 120 psi across all cylinders. But cold compression checks are virtually worthless. I noticed it all depends on how hard you crank. If I go slow I get virtually no compression, like 50 psi

well that noise is compression, and it just seeping out while u open the valves(spining the motor)
its because u have spark plugs in there so its making compression, it u take out the spark plugs it will be easier to turn and u will not hear that n e more

I left the plugs in so I could check the compression
Thanks for your input though. There is a running bet that my motor will go
as soon as I turn the key after I drop it. It's my first build
