Raced a 98 M3 tonite. tell me how i did...
well he has:
98 m3 5 speed with intake, exhaust, and chip with higher redline.
95 cx, b18c-r swap, exhaust, intake.
we raced off a roll in 1st ( was at around 6000 rpm before vtec) only until 4th gear. dead even. he supposed runs low 14s but thats off a launch. how did i do? my friends say my car seems to be running a bit slow for a r swapped hatch. what could be wrong?

since it was a roll, it kinda put you at a disadvantage because his great top end probably took over. then again, with a chip and exhaust, bmw's can do wonders. he may be running mid 13's with just that, so you may be running the same. i don't know if you consider that good or bad though.

actually being at a roll probably gave u a better advantage since traction will no be a problem thus taking away his slight advantage with him being RWD.. but good run and I would hope you can stay with him.. the US M3s were nothing to write home about ..240hp compared to there Euro conterpart that put down close to 300whp =P but good run and try to take it to the track.. =x

Not sure. I took to M3's @ the same time on the highway (to about 30). I pulled on them slowly.
