Icon2 Couple Questions!!!!**

Hello, I'm currently driving a 1997 Honda Accord LX

I had a few questions:

1.) The stock F22B2 is leaking oil into one of the spark plugs (if you're facing the front of the car it's the second plug from the right),
I was just wondering if the cause of this was the spark plug o-rings. What else could be causing this?

2.) What RPM does the F22 stop producing power? (Example: LS V-TEC stops around 7k RPM's). The reason I'm asking is because
I'm planning on chipping my ECU, and don't want to waste my engine for no reason.

3.) Which ECU would be the best to chip in my Accord? I heard the P75, but I'm just double checking.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this questions,

Thanks!

Cant help you with the Chip question, but I recently came across this problem with my 90 Accord. 3 out of of the 4 plugs are wet with oil, which is causing some ignition problems. I will be changing out the valve cover gasket, wires and plugs very soon.

That's what I'm doing also, picking up the gasket kit from Schuck's on Monday for $26. Only one of mine is leaking though, the rest are perfect. If you replace your gaskets before me, let me know if that fixed the problem.

More than likely you will have to replace the lower spark plug gaskets which cannot be done by simply taking the valve cover off. I have oil in my spark plug tubes as well and the problem was not fixed when I replaced the upper gaskets and valve cover gasket.

Would that require taking off the head completely?

The B2 ulilizes both upper tube seals and lower tube seals along with the valve cover and stud washer seals.

You'll run up against the programmed rev limiter in the ECM programming before you run out of power. Blame product liability for this one.

I'll leave this question to others, thanks

No, you remove the valve cover and the rocker arm assembly to get to the lower spark plug seals.

This is one of the downside for the B2 motors. Same thing is going on with my buddy's 95 Accord Wagon LX.

Do you have anymore information on how to remove the rocker arm assembly? Or a tutorial perhaps.
